As someone who is an experienced trainer in the field of chemical peels, Dr Xavier Doodarzian has a wide-ranging knowledge of a viarety of systems. In 2007 hemade a decision to take on Dermaceutic (distributed in the UK by Medical Aesthetic Group) and has not looked back.

Dermaceutic is a range of professional treatments and homecare products to cater for every peeling indication from deep to superficial. The range contains five peels as well as nine retail products. The five peels in the system are :

-          Mask Peel – a superficial kaolin-based glycolic acid peel fir greasy, acne-prone skin, visibles pores, excess sebum and dermatological facial cleaning.

-          Milk Peel – a superficial peel containing glycolic acid, lactic acid and salicylic acid for dull complexion and wrinkles, which stimulates the epidermis to smooth and soften skin.

-          Spot Peel – A medium depth peel containing mandelic acid, idebenone, emblica, retinol and salicylic acid for pigmentation spots, post pregnancy dark spots, melasma, and post-inflammatory pigmentation.

-          Cosmo Peel – A medium depth TCA peel available in 15% and 18% for ageing skin, smoker’s lines, dark spots, wrinkles, stretch marks. The 18% formulation is recommended for body peeling and removal of sunspots. An advantage of the Cosmo Peel TCA solution is that is comes already mixed and ready to use, unlike other brands.

-          Exo Peel – A deep phenol peel for deep lines and wrinkles and sun damage.

Dr Goodarzian says, « When clients come to me for a consultation I always ask them what they are looking to achieve. In terms of peeling Dermaceutic has something for everyone. If they are looking to refresh their skin then I can use one of the glycolic acid peels, if they are looking for rejuvenation I can use the TCA peel. »

One of Dr Goodarzian’s favorite peels in the range is the Milk Peel, which has proven to be very popular with his clients. Boasting a first class ingredient list, Dermaceutic Sun Ceutic SPF50 contains mineral sunscreen titanium dioxide and chemical sunscreens phenthyl benzoate, octocrylene and 3-benzophenone to protect against both UVA and UVB rays. An additional youth boost comes courtesy of the wheat germ oil content, and calendula extract helps the skin heal following cosmetic treatments. The product is intended to fight UV rays and also address the appearance of unwelcome dark spots.
